Let's Build a Cat Sanctuary Together

In the lush, cold, green hills of Tigoni, something extraordinary is taking shape—not your typical construction site, but the future home of the Nairobi Feline Sanctuary, the only dedicated cat rescue in Kenya.
The sanctuary was founded by Rachael Kabue, a devoted animal lover with a heart big enough to shelter over 600 cats—many of them sick, abandoned, or victims of cruelty.
Over the past five years, Rachael transformed her home in Utawala, Mihang’o into a safe haven, offering love, care, and hope to Kenya’s most vulnerable felines.
But tragedy struck when Rachael was served an eviction notice, putting the sanctuary—and the lives of the cats—at serious risk.
Then, something remarkable happened.
Inspired by her compassion, a kind-hearted well-wisher stepped in and donated 5 acres of land in Tigoni, Limuru. This generous act ensured the cats would not only be saved from eviction, but finally have a permanent, forever home.
The new sanctuary sits in a cool, serene, and green environment—perfect for animals to recover, play, and thrive.
However, with chilly Limuru nights and unpredictable weather, the buildings must be made weather-resistant to ensure the cats remain safe, healthy, and comfortable.
With construction in Tigoni officially underway, the Sanctuary needs support to create a home, a refuge, and a future for hundreds of rescued cats.
